Andie Virginia Shannon was stillborn on Labor Day, September 5, 2016 at 5:43am at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. She weighted 7lbs and was 20.5 in. long. She is survived by her father, John Michael Shannon, her mother, Elizabeth Woodall Shannon, her brothers, Joseph Michael Shannon and Pete Ellis Shannon, her paternal grandparents, Mike and Hope Shannon, her maternal grandparents, Terry and Melba Woodall, her 2 uncles, Jeremy Woodall and Travis Wisdom, her 3 aunts, Ann Shannon, Mandy Wisdom, and Sara Woodall, and her 9 first cousins, Kaleb, Layne, Catherine, Jack, Charlie, Hope, Sam, Ann Baldwin, and Clanton. Andie's Graveside service will be held at Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the Shannon family requests donations be made to www.birthvillage.org/cuddle-cot. Donations will go towards the purchase of a cuddle cot for EAMC. The website also explains the importance of cuddle cots and how they extend the precious time families have with their babies. Andie's brief life has truly blessed so many people. She has brought her family closer together and she will be remembered and loved for eternity. She is now our guardian angel and we take comfort knowing she is with her heavenly Father.
