Annie Smith Taylor, former Opelika, Alabama resident was born on July 3, 1925 in Chambers County, and passed away August 26, 2015 in Gainesville, Florida. She was 90 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, LaFayette Charles Taylor, son Gerald Charles Taylor, her parents, Myrtle and Noel Vernon Smith, and her brothers, James Zachary and Noel Lee Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Leigh Anne Kavouklis (Peter), of Micanopy, Florida; granddaughter, Kali Anne Kavouklis (Ryan Wolf), and grandson Anthony Taylor Kavouklis, both of Gainesville, Florida. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 1:00 until 2:15 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. with Brother, Steve Pettis officiating. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 1:00 until 2:15 p.m.
