Barbara E. Pilcher, of Smiths Station, was born in Lee county on May 30, 1940 and Passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on March 15, 2012, She was 71 years old. She was a mother and grandmother figure to countless others and she was a Godly woman who enjoyed gardening and nature. She was preceded in death by her son, David Wayne Pilcher. She is survived by her husband, Larry Poole; son, Bryan Pilcher and his wife Rachel; grandchildren, Marcus, Kaleb , Barbara J. , Paul Pilcher; great grandchildren, Kane and Brandon Pilcher; brother, Austin Chandler.
