Charles F. Pope of Tallahassee, Florida was born on May 22, 1934 in Marion County, Georgia and passed away at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee, Florida on March 8, 2017. He was 82 years old. Charles lived for many years in Talbotton, Georgia and was a self-employed entrepreneur who was talented and skilled in many areas. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lois Pope; former wife and mother of his children, Jane King Pope; daughter, Donna Jane Pope; step-son, Kenneth L. Ward. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Olivia Hudson Pope of Tallahassee, Florida; daughters, Linda Pope McWhorter (Aaron) of Whitesburg, Georgia, Terri Pope Thornton (Samuel) of Deatsville, Alabama, Susan Pope Burt of Buena Vista, Georgia; grandchildren, Natalie Jane Howard (Jutt) of Carrollton, Georgia, Randall Neilie Burt of Columbus, Georgia, Kendall Codie Burt of Las Vegas, Nevada; great grandchildren, Nevaeh Marie Greene of Columbus, Georgia, Louie Maddox Valentin of Columbus, Georgia, Wyatt Alexander Howard of Carrollton, Georgia; sisters, Joann Pope Horne (Jerry) of Buena Vista, Georgia, Jean Pope Powell of Buena Vista, Georgia; brother, Kenneth Louis Pope (Rose) of Blakeley, Georgia. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. CST. Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. CST with Minister Allen Howard officiating. A private Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Big Bend Hospice or charity of choice. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. CST.
