Christine Nelson, age 71 of Beauregard, was born on July 17, 1940 in Eclectic, Alabama and passed away on July 28, 2011 at East Alabama Medical Center. She was a member of Open Door Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Roland Peoples; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Christine Gore. She is survived by her husband, Marrion B. Nelson; mother, Mamie Leola Smith; children, Marty Nelson, Jaien Gore, and Mark Nelson; grandchildren, James A. Strickland, Kathryn Nelson, and Scott Nelson. "God sent an angel down to pick an orchid from the roses, for his bouquet."
