Denton Cole, 86, AL died February 13th, 2017 after a short illness. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 17th at Saughatchee Country Club from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. Cole was born in Sylacauga and raised in Columbiana, Alabama, where he graduated from Shelby County High School. He completed a Bachelors degree from Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn) and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had a life-long professional career in banking, was a graduate of the Southwestern School of Banking at SMU and retired to Auburn, Alabama. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marcia (Buck), his three children, Janet Daulton (Tom) of Dallas, TX; Suzanne Boyle (Tim) of St. Louis, MO; and Jon Cole (Lisa) of Auburn, AL along with his grandchildren Bradley Boyle, Kathryn B. Morrison (Will), Libby Boyle, Neal Daulton, Mary Cole Daulton, Carter Daulton, Alison Cole and Preston Cole, his sister Margaret Allen, nieces Deborah Allen (Martin) and Kay Allen (Childers), as well as nephew Jim Allen. He was one of the nicest men you will ever meet and he will be missed sorely. See ya later Hoss! War Eagle!
