Dorothy Hill Hammock, of Opelika, was born in Pennsylvania on March 22, 1947, and passed away at EAMC on December 22, 2016. She was 69 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53years, James Wayne Hammock; son, Jimmy Wayne Hammock; grandson, Russell Earl Hammock; her parents, Robert S. Hill and Jewel Mae Ennis Hill; and her brother, Robbie Hill. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Huckeba (Richard), and Sharon Lynn Hammock; son, Ronald Earl Hammock (Tammy); grandchildren, Jimmy Wayne Hammock, Jr., Ronald Earl Hammock, Jr., Jennifer Lynn Hammock, Kearsten Hammock, Christian Hammock, Mya Hammock; and sisters, Delores Navickas and Barbara Brown (Steve). She was a loving wife and mother as well as a loving grandmother who really enjoyed spending her last days with her youngest grandchildren. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Thad Endicott officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.
