Barbara Faye Swope of Opelika, was born in Randolph County to the late Mary and Homer Fincher on July 14, 1943 and passed away at her home on December 20, 2018. She was 75 years old. She was a Member of First Baptist Church of Opelika. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lee Swope. She is survived by her children, John DuPaul (Robin), Lee Ann Johnson; step-daughter, Tracey Shockey; step-son, Arthur Swope (Bridgette); 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Patsy Ann Overton; brother, Wayne Casey (Sharon), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Monday, December 24, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at First Baptist Church of Opelika with Dr. Mike King officiating. Interment will follow at Auburn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Monday, December 24, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
