Fred E Bengtson, age 74, of Auburn, AL passed away in his home on May 21, 2018. He was born in Clinton, IA to the late William and Tillie Bengtson on May 13, 1944. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Donald W. Bengtson, Sr. and Kenneth Bengtson. Mr. Bengtson is survived by his daughter, Renee Bengtson of Rogers, AR; sons, Michael Bengtson (Trish) of Rogers, AR, and William Bengtson (Sabrina) of Clinton, IA; brother, James Bengtson (Sara) of Clinton, IA; sister, Nancy Geary of Tulsa, OK; six grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family. He was extremely close to Don and Jane Bengtson, who were more family than any words could express. He was in the US Army, then worked in construction and drove semi-trucks most of his life. Fred loved his critters and his children. He knew a lot of the healing values on herbal healing and teas. Fred lead a simple, humble life but was very happy and content. He loved his home, life, and family in Alabama No services are scheduled at this time, but a Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.
