Gene M. Aldridge, 86, was born July 23, 1928 to the late Oliver S. and Nell Aldridge, and passed away on February 20, 2015. Mr. Aldridge served as a pastor in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida for many years. He was preceded in death by his sons, James Marion Aldridge and Gene Morrell Aldridge; and his sister, Genell Kelly. Mr. Aldridge is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elizabeth Spates Aldridge; daughter, Teresa Carmichael; daughter-in-law, Deanna Aldridge; brother, Jimmy Aldridge (Dean); six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous other family members. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with Brother Fred Woodall officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 11:00 am- 12:45 pm.
