Ginger Earl "Momma" Kirby Haggard Chappell formerly of Tallassee, Alabama was born in Tallassee at her home on January 1, 1939 and passed away at her home in Waverly. She was 79 years old. She was well known for her ability to capture everyones eyes with her electric, carefree style and eccentric dress. Ginger loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois Lanier Johnson and Earle Kirby. She is survived by her children, Raymond C. Haywood, Lynette Haywood Monroe (James), Charlie McCollum, Rodney McCollum (Jeannie), Shayne McCollum (Paula); grandchildren, Lewis Haywood, Johnathon Haywood, Jessica Parker Bolton, Landon McCollum, Eric Monroe, Justin Patterson, Jeffery McCollum, and Lydia McCollum; 6 great grandchildren; brother, John T. Kirby; her boyfriend, Husky Kirkwood as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make donations to your local Humane Society. Ginger was an animal lover and would want them to have your support.
