Harold Bryant, age 78 of Opelika, was born on April 12, 1936 in Atlanta, Georgia and went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2014 at his residence following a long illness.
He served in the Air Force for four years then retired from West Point Stevens after 47 years of service. He was a faithful member at Central Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years, taught Sunday School and was custodian for several years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Katie Bryant; and his brother, Edward Bryant.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ellen Bryant; son, Randy (Donna) Bryant; daughter, Vickie (Billy) Horne; son, Tim (Tom Ryder) Bryant; son, Mark Bryant; sisters, Josie Thompson and Marie (Don) Fuller; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one granddog; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home.
