Helen Brazell Cook, 83 passed away peacefully on August 13, 2015, at Arbor Springs in Opelika, AL. She was born in Camp Hill, Alabama on September 19, 1931 to Henry Crawford and Ida Mae Brazell.
She is survived by her children Diane Henderson, Wanda (Jeff) Moore, Doug (Natalie) Hinkle, Perry (Ressie Yamauchi) Cook, grandchildren Brian (Anita Johnson) Richardson, Tori (Paul) Spates, Crawford (Riley) Hinkle, Tiffany (Jason) Sanders, Lauren (Jason King) Hinkle, Taylor Moore, Sydney Hinkle, Jason Cook, Courtney (Matt) Watkins, great-grandchildren Morgan Moncus, Hunter Richardson, sister Elaine Fuller, aunt Jeanette Hood, and Jimmy Henderson.
Ms. Cook retired from Auburn University where she worked in Housing, Chefs Club and the Bursars Office. She was an excellent seamstress and worked for many years sewing and doing alterations. She loved to cook and was happy to share her recipes with everyone and give them tips on how to cook. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Opelika, AL.
Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Sunday, August 16, 2015, from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held Sunday, August 16, 2015, in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. with Kenneth Hood officiating. Interment will follow at Lafayette City Cemetery, Lafayette Alabama.
