Jack Pickerell of Auburn, Alabama was born to the late Charles and Gladys Epperson Pickerell on February 22, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana and passed away at Bethany House on September 1, 2017. He was 86 years old. Mr. Pickerell proudly served two years in the United States Army. He retired from Uniroyal after 30 years of service as the Accounting Manager. He then became the Finance/Accounting Director in the Facilities Division of Auburn University for 12 years. He was an alumnus of Butler University and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Charles "Bud" Pickerell and Elmer Pickerell. He is survived by his wife , Wanda Collins Pickerell; children, Judith Lynn Graveman (Mike)of Laceys Spring, AL and John Charles Pickerell of Auburn, AL; granddaughter, Jessica Dempsey(Mitchell) and niece, Julia Pickerell Olds of Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Sunday, September 3, 2017 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with Brother John Dale Rector and Brother Cliff Knight officiating. Interment will follow at Auburn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Benevolence Committee at Lakeview Baptist Church or to Bethany House. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.
