Jack Whitlock, of Opelika, was born on February 19, 1926 in Tupelo, Mississippi and passed away on December 25, 2015. He was 89 years old. Mr. Whitlock was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Opelika, and was a WWII Navy Veteran and Korean War Air Force Veteran. He was employed by Opelika Manufacturing for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Whitlock, and parents Mary and Guy Whitlock. He is survived by his daughters, Vicky OReilly, and Kathy Pede (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Reverend Matthew OReilly (Naomi), Timothy OReilly (Anna), Shawna Buice (Chris), and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Kierce, Reverend Earl Ballard, and Reverend Matthew OReilly officiating. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.
