John E. Hammock, 65, of Waverly, AL, was born on January 8, 1949 to the late John T. and Millicent Hammock, and passed away on July 11, 2014. Mr. Hammock was a member of several antique auto clubs. The family requests that car club friends honor Johns memory by driving classic cars to the ceremonies. Requested dress for all is blue jeans, camouflage, Countrys t-shirts, flannel shirts, or other casual clothing. He is survived by his daughter, Eva H. Shears (Adam); sisters, Alice Grout (Jim) and Lynn McLain (Charles); the mother of his child, Dianne Ballentine; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 2:30 PM in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Nelson and Brother Rod Siggers officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 12:30-2:15 PM in the parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home.
