Julian Weldon Jenkins, of Anniston and Auburn died September 16, 2015. He was born in Anniston July 11, 1932, was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Julian attended Jacksonville State University and is a graduate of the School of Architecture and Building Sciences of Auburn University where he was President of Scarab Architectural Honorary and an officer of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. Julian interned with architectural firms Brown Chapman Keller, of Dallas, Texas, and Pearson Tittle & Narrows of Montgomery, Alabama before joining the firm of James M. Hoffman in Anniston. After the death of Hoffman, he co partnered the architectural firm of Christian Boozer Jenkins AIA, and later the firms of Julian W. Jenkins and Associates, and Jenkins Munroe Jenkins AIA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anita Jenkins; parents, Clyde and LeMerle Jenkins, and brother, Gerald. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Julianne Isola and husband Kenny, of Montgomery, Alabama; daughter Heather Enger and husband Hjalmar, of Oxford, Alabama; son, Jay Jenkins and wife Kim of Anniston, Alabama; daughter, Jill Jenkins and companion Rob Lowe, of Marco Island, Florida; grandchildren, Anna Enger, of Glendale, Arizona; Ben Enger, of Auburn; Sonny and Sterling Jenkins, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends. The family wishes to express gratitude to Dr. Steven Davidson and staff of Montgomery Cancer Center, Hospice Advantage, Earlon and Betty McWhorter, Patricia Long and Linda Bayse. A Memorial service will take place at a later date.
