Wayne Ware, who battled with advanced pancreatic cancer, died Sunday, March 29, 2020. He was 77.
Mr. Ware died at his home in LaFayette, Alabama with family members at his side.
Mr. Wares cancer was diagnosed in April 2019. He wanted to live and fought a courageous battle to do so.
Julian Wayne Ware was born March 19, 1943 in Community Hospital, East Tallassee, Tallapoosa County, Alabama the son of Julian Winston Ware and Ola Gertrude Lambert Ware. Wayne graduated Opelika High School, Class of 1961 and attended Auburn University where he was a member of the University Marching Band playing the tuba. A more than 20-year member of Auburn-Opelika Elks Lodge #1834. He worked for United Parcel Service and retired 1998 with 32 years of service. He was married to Janie Sheridan Ware since July 1964 (55 years).
He was preceded in death by his parents and Great Granddaughter Noelle Joy Curtin.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Tawayna (Roger) Curtin; a son, Jamie (Nicki) Ware; Grandsons: Alex and Andrew (Kathryn) Curtin; Granddaughter: Arabella Ware; Great Grands: Haiden and Evelyn Curtin; sisters: Jeaneen Chaffin of Fairfax, VA and Margaret Manley of Opelika, AL; nieces, nephew, cousins, relatives and friends.
