Karen Burnworth Brewer Hartwick was born on October 4, 1940 in Pontiac, Michigan and passed away on September 13, 2016. She was 75 years of age.
Mrs. Hartwick was a loving and caring housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Later in life she became a Registered Nurse before she retired.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents Neal O. Burnworth and Elizabeth (Betty) Jetmore Burnworth; brothers Clifford W. (Shorty) Jetmore, Robert E. Burnworth; sister Joan B. DiMauro, and daughter Robin Brewer Miller (Identical twin sister to Wendy Brewer).
Karen is survived by a daughter Wendy Brewer (Identical sister to the late Robin Brewer Miller); son John N. (Janet) Brewer; grandchildren Julie M. Doler, Aaron T. Brewer, David N. (Ali) Brewer, William Troy Varro, and Chris Rodgers; great-grandchildren Kaylee M. Doler, Ashlyn E. Doler, Gage D. Brewer, Clyde, Aiden and Steven Rodgers. Karen also leaves behind a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
Karen loved animals and has saved many furry lives over her lifetime. "Dont breed or buy while sheltered animals die. Adopt and save a life."
A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Tim Steffey officiating.
In lieu of flowers it is suggested that donations be sent to your local Animal Shelter, the National Lung Association and/or the Charity of your choice.
