Lee Curtis Pitchford, age 84 of Opelika, was born on September 26, 1926 in Dadeville, Alabama and passed away on August 15, 2011 at Bethany House in Auburn. He was born to the late John and Alice Pitchford. Mr. Pitchford was preceded in death by his sisters, Evora Harper and Dorothy Johnson; and brothers, James Olin Pitchford, Dutchie Ray Pitchford and Julian Pitchford. He is survived by his wife, Lois Fuller Pitchford; sons, Kenneth (Betty) Pitchford of Auburn, Steven (Linda) Pitchford of Notasulga, and Dennis (Sharon) Pitchford of Opelika; daughter, Lori Ann Williams of Opelousas, Louisianna; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Mattie Davis; brother, Elwood (Christine) Pitchford; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Pitchford owned and operated Pitchford Drywall from 1959 until 1978. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping on the Tallapoosa River.
