Obituary

Lewis J. Angarano of Auburn, AL, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Born on July 29, 1944, Lew was 71. Lew graduated from River Dell Regional High School in Oradell, NJ, and earned a BA degree in Business Administration from Hawthorne College, Antrim, NH. Following his graduation, he served four years in the United States Air Force. In 1983 Lew married Donna Walton in Ithaca, NY, and moved to Auburn three years later when Donna joined the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. They built a second house at Lake Martin where Lew spent many enjoyable hours of boating and fishing. A salesman at heart with a phenomenal memory for names and faces, Lew had a successful career in both insurance and data processing. As an account executive for EDS, he was an esteemed award winner in the "Inner Circle" top sales group. Lew was preceded in death by his mother Mary Daglezt Angarano and his father Joseph Anthony Angarano. Lew is survived by his wife Donna, sister Mariann of Germantown, MD, and God daughter Heather (Dwayne) Johnson of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, as well as numerous friends. On Tuesday, June 14, there will be a celebration of Lews life in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. George Mathison officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until the funeral hour at 2:30 p.m. in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lewis and Donna Angarano Scholarship Fund at Auburn University. Checks should be payable to Auburn University Foundation and mailed to: Auburn University Foundation, 317 S. College St., Auburn, Alabama 36849-5170. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until the funeral hour at 2:30 p.m. in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean. On Tuesday, June 14, there will be a celebration of Lews life in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. George Mathison officiating.
