Lisa Davis Thomas, of Opelika, was born in the Lee County Hospital on September 8, 1957, and passed away at UAB Hospital on November 10, 2015. She was 58 years old. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and she taught at Bright Beginnings and maintained daycares in her home for many years. She had a great love for children; we have given Lisa back to our father to help him with all the children in heaven. She was preceded in death by her father, F.W. "Dub" Davis, Jr., and brother in law, Jimmy Thomas. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Buck Thomas; sons, Spencer Thomas and Kevin Thomas; her mother, Doris Davis; Sister Terri Smith (Glynn); brother in law, David Thomas (Jennifer); sister in law, Dawn Smith (Eddie), and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members. Visitation will be held in the Parlor of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. Memorial service will be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with brother Earl Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hill Cemetery.
