Louise Hollingsworth Robinson, age 92 of Auburn, was born on March 8, 1921 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Samuel Hawkins and Bennie Brown Hollingsworth. She passed away on November 18, 2013 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. She was a member of Auburn United Methodist Church. She graduated from Howard College, now Samford University, then received her Masters degree from Auburn University. She taught school for many years in the Alabama School system. She loved her grandchildren as they were her life.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John Arthur Robinson, who passed away in 2007.
She is survived by her sons, John Arthur Robinson, Jr. and James Riley Robinson; daughter, Dorothy Robinson Cope (Ernie); grandchildren, Shelley Robin Cope, Holly Cope Williams (Zeus), Brian James Robinson (Amy), Brent Keith Robinson (Lauren), Daniel Xerxes Robinson, and Lee Samuel Joseph Robinson; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt James Robinson and Lillian Kate Robinson; and brother, Samuel Hawkins Hollingsworth, Jr.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home, with Dr. George Mathison officiating. Interment will follow in Forrest Hills Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama at 2:30 p.m.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home.
