Merrill B. Dykes of Seale, Alabama was born in Clio, Alabama to the late Benetta and Eugene Dykes on November 4, 1945, and passed away at St. Francis Hospital on July 17, 2016. He was 70 years old. He is survived by his wife Phronia Dykes; children Patrick Dykes (Terri), Bennie Dykes (Vicky), Roy Dykes (Kim); grandchildren Brandon, Timothy, Candy, Joe, Angel, Ayla, Tab, Josh; great grandchildren Gaige, Joani, Kynleigh, Bryce, Braylen, Kylie, Bentley, Jonathan, Minnie; sisters Barbara Jean Spahos, Sharon Martin, Cindy Soldwish; brothers, Doug Dykes, Ken Dykes. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 12:45 until 1:45 CDT. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 2:00 CDT with Pastor Jim Gilboy officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 12:45 until 1:45 CDT.
