Myrtle Lee Banks, age 73 of Opelika, was born July 18, 1938 in Joanna, South Carolina and died on September 6, 2011 at East Alabama Medical Center of Opelika. She was of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Lucille Cromer. Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by her brother, Harvey Cromer; and son-in-law, Earl Brown. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Banks; daughter, Martha Brown; son, Wayne Chavis; sister, Knoava Wright and husband Steve; grandsons, Brandon and Daniel Chavis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
