Raymond Collins, of Opelika, was born in Montgomery County, Alabama on July 27, 1934 to the late Thomas and Artie Collins and passed away Wednesday April 3, 2013 at Bethany House in Auburn. He was 78 years old. He was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Mission Catholic Church. Mr. Collins was retired from Bellsouth having served them for over 43 years and was a member of the Opelika Civitan Club. Raymond was preceded in death by his son, Dale Collins and grandson, Daniel Collins. Raymond is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty L. Collins, two sons, Mike Collins and wife Frances of Opelika and Scott Collins and wife Joselyn of Hawaii, daughter-In-law Teresa Collins of Opelika, brother Richard Collins and wife Florence of Dothan, sister Nancy Coleman of Rome, Georgia, four grandchildren, Laura Childs and husband Shane, Lisa Price and husband Hunter, Lindsey and Leah Collins, three great grandchildren, Emma and Ella Kate Childs and Brooklyn Price.
