Sarah J. White, of Opelika, was born in Lanett, Alabama on September 23, 1928, and passed away at Bethany House on October 25, 2015. She was 87 years old. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Opelika, First Baptist missionary study, American Legion Auxiliary, and Ampex retirees Club. She was the daughter to the late Clarence and Francis Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Emmett White; son, Raymond Bruce Hurston, Jr., and sister, Betty S. Dobson. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry H. Posse (Buddy), and Deborah Fitzpatrick; nine grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held in the Parlor of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 2:00 until the Funeral time 3:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Danny Smith officiating. Visitation will be held in the Parlor of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 2:00 until the Funeral time 3:00 p.m.
