Shirley N. Thompson, of Opelika, Alabama was born on May 25, 1936 and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 19, 2018. She was a faithful member of Marvyn Parkway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Leonard Thompson; mother, Ener Yerta, and her sister, Betty Shiver. She will be greatly missed by her children, Beth Young (Randy) Oxford, Alabama, Pam Eastridge (Michael) Trenton, Georgia, Paul L. Thompson, Tallassee, Alabama; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and six brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. CST. Funeral service will be held at Marvyn Parkway Baptist Church on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. CST with Brother David Floyd and Reverend Michael Eastridge officiating. Graveside will be held at 10:00 a.m. CST Monday, January 22, 2018 at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Troup County, Georgia (2098 Mooty Bridge Road LaGrange, Georgia 30240.) Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. CST.
