Robert Steven Bledsoe, was born in the Lee County Hospital on March 9, 1955, and passed away at EAMC on March 20, 2016. He was 61 years old. Steves first loves were for the Lord and his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife Lavelle for 39 years. His son Eric was his pride and joy. Steve loved Auburn football! he owned and operated his own business for many years and worked for Auburn University in the Athletic Department for eight years before becoming ill. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Bledsoe, and his beloved dog Ginger. He is survived by his wife, Lavelle Spraggins Bledsoe; son, Eric Steven Bledsoe; grandson, Caiden; mother, Joyce Faye Bledsoe; sister, Gail Hall (George); brothers, Dean Bledsoe, Ken Bledsoe, Paul Bledsoe, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Purpose Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Tom Grantham officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
