Virginia L. Ernst, of Auburn, was born in Iowa on May 13, 1932 and passed away in Griffin, Georgia on December 25, 2015. She was 83 years old. She was a good MaMa and was very proud of all grandchildren. She also got a real kick out of seeing and holding her first great grandchild in November. Ms. Virginia loved to read especially non-fiction books and enjoyed working out in her yard. She always had a smile on her face. Mrs. Ernst was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John V. Ernst, Ph.D. and daughter, Patricia D. Ernst. She is survived by her children, Gene D. Ernst (Beverly), Jan E. Frank (Craig), James R. Ernst; grandchildren, Chris Collins, Kyle Frank, Sarah Ernst, Anita Frank Jorgensen (Chris), Trenton Frank, LeeAnn Frank, Matthew Ernst, Bethany Frank, and Maggie Ernst; great granddaughter, Violet Jorgensen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home.
