Albert Louis Howard was born August 26, 1944 and passed away peacefully at EAMC on January 14, 2016. He was 71 years old. Bert was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Bessie Howard; brother Phillip Howard; son, Albert Lois Howard, Jr. Bert is survived by his wife of 16 years, Ramona Ward; sons, Cody Ward, and Andy (Allie) Howard of Opelika; daughters, Amanda Howard of West Point, Georgia, Frankie Lynn Gibson of Lagrange, Georgia, and step-daughter, Kimberly Blackmon of Opelika; brother, Larry K. (Dale) Howard of Camp Hill, Alabama; sisters, Shirley (J.W.) Miller, Linda (Harvey) Miller of Valley, Alabama, and Teressa Fewell of Quitman, Mississippi; aunt, Margie Styres of Stone Wall, Mississippi; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Shady Grove Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Harvey Miller officiating.
