Allen O'Neal Owens

1937-2022

Allen O'Neal Owens, "Big O" of Dadeville, Alabama was born to the late Homer Lee and Emma Irene Finley Owens on April 27, 1937 Mr. Owens passed away on September 18, 2022. He was 85 years old.

He was preceded by his parents, and several brothers.

He served his country honorably in the US Air Force as a Firefighter. After his service, he was employed by Uniroyal until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Louise Smith Owens; children, Rocky Owens (Karen) and Caron Owens Gibson (Randy). Brothers: Warner Owens (Ruby), Hoyt Owens (Shirley), Farris Owens (Helen), sister: Doris Wood (Danny), along with several nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Shirley Lackey, and several nieces and nephews. Grandchildren: Natalie Owens Johnson (Chris), Haylie Gibson, and Travis Gibson (Lauren). Great-grandchildren: Kason James Gibson, Julie Elisabeth Johnson, and Owen Robert Johnson; and his special four legged companion, Hunter.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his shed. He also loved to watch cooking shows and Auburn football games.

Visitation will be held at Farmville Baptist Church, 3607 AL Hwy 147 N., Auburn, AL 36830; on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. CST and funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. CST. with fellowship gathering after service.

Virginia's Florist in Opelika, AL, 334-749-1517, will be handling all flower arrangements.
