Alvin "Leon" Davis, of Beulah, was born in Opelika on December 13, 1938, and passed away at Bethany House on August 4, 2015. He was 76 years old. Mr. Davis was the founding Pastor of Living Waters Holiness Church. He worked 45 years at Langdale Mill and five years at Shawmut Mill before retiring in 2002. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Davis. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Davis. Son, Alvin "AL" Leon Davis, Jr. Daughter, Deborah Delynn "Debbie" Whitman (Kenny). Adopted daughter, Deborah Harrison; Sisters, Mary Kilgore (Jimmy), Betty Johnson, Mildred Irvin (Louis) and Sara Coker (Jerry); Brothers, Jerry Davis (Annie Jo) and James Lee Davis. Visitation will be held in the Parlor of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. CDT. Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 6, 2015 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. CDT with Reverend Joe Strickland and Brother Donnie Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Parlor of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. CDT.
