Andrew (Andy) Joseph Dupree of Opelika (Beauregard), Alabama, passed away on July 8, 2021 after a long illness. Andy was born in Opp, Alabama on March 27, 1962 and spent most of his life in Opelika. Andrew was preceded in death by his father, James M. Dupree; his brothers Timothy J. Dupree and Douglas M. Dupree. He leaves behind his mother, Evelyn W. Dupree of Opelika, AL; sister Kathy D. Jones (Barry) of Birmingham, AL; sister-in-law Kathy D. Lynch (Jerry) of Dadeville, AL; niece Erin D. Sluder (Jeff), nephew James/Jay E. Dupree (Amanda); niece Katherine/Katie J. Corley (Josh); niece Meredith/Meri J. Stodghill (Josh); and 13 grand nieces and nephews with another grand nephew on the way. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Kookie, she has been by his side for the last 5 years. Graveside services will be Sunday, July 11, 2021 3:00 pm at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Beauregard Community with Dr. Rusty Sowell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Baptist Church Building Fund of Opelika.
