Anthony "A.J." Wallis, Jr., age 54 of Opelika, was born in Florida on September 24, 1958 and passed away in Lafayette on October 22, 2012. Mr. Wallis was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Marian Wallis. He is survived by his special friend and companion, Angelia Ingram; brother, Donnie Wallis; step-son, Bubba Pinney; daughters, Brandy Wallis and Jessica Wallis; son, Andy Wallis; and grandchildren, Alexis, Lillian, Brian, Mariska and Alana Wallis, and Gage, Isabella and Ella Pinney. Mr. Wallis was a humanitarian who spent many years helping the homeless. He worked with outreach programs in Florida, as well as The Upper Room outreach program in Valley, Alabama. Mr. Wallis spent 30 years in the restaurant business becoming a master grill operator.
