Barbara R. Mora

12/04/1927 - 11/15/2022

On Tuesday, November 15, 2022 Barbara R. Mora beloved Wife, Mother and Nana passed away at her home in Auburn, AL. She was ninety-four.

Barbara was born to parents Maria and Ysidro Rodriguez on December 4, 1927 in New Mexico and passed away on November 15, 2022. Barbara was married to her high school sweet heart Emilio C. Mora and had four children, Arthur R. Mora, S. Emile Mora, Olga M. Mora and Ottilia M. Temm.

She was devoted to her faith filled community of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Auburn, AL and to her family. She fed the seminarians to the Bishops of the parish. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and traveling worldwide with her husband. She loved to help others in the neighborhood from cutting hair of the neighborhood children, to feeding anyone that would walk through the door. For those that were ill, she always made an effort to take them food and pray for them. As she got older, she always prayed for the many request she had received. It got to the point, where people would tell her...."you must have a direct line to our Heavenly Father because my family member/friend got better!" She often wondered why she was still here, but many would tell her that her mission was to pray for those in need. When anyone requested a prayer she responded that she would be more than happy to and she would end saying…."It's ok - everything will be ok.

She was also a loving mother who was always there for her children. She taught them to treat others with kindness and to help others that were in need. Growing up, whenever they needed something at the last minute, she never hesitated to stop what she was doing and go right to work, whatever the case may have been. She was a mother that no matter what age her children were - they could always count on her and she on them. She was a mother that was heartwarming, compassionate, caring, understanding and most of all, her children knew they were always loved. Her grandchildren and her great grandchildren were her life! When she was in the hospital and they would come to visit - you could see her eyes light up with so much love for them. Even when they would come over to visit - one could see the love she had for all of them. At night, after she would say her rosary, she would always say an extra prayer for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren asking our Lord to keep them safe.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Rodriguez and father, Ysidro Rodriguez, her loving and dedicated husband Emilio C. Mora (94'); her brothers and sisters Jesus Rodriguez, Lupe Rodriguez, Francis Sanchez, Roberto Rodriguez, Cuca Moreno, Ramona Balaga and Reyes Lopez.
