Ben Bentley, of Auburn, Alabama was born at EAMC on December 22, 1983 and passed away at his home on March 7, 2016. He was 32 years old. He was a member of Notasulga United Methodist Church. He was a gentle giant, who had a tremendous heart, a loving soul, and a smile that could light up a room. He was an avid hunter who especially loved ducks. His love for hunting, friends, and family was straight from his heart. He had a special love for his parents, sister, grandparents and his faithful friend Shug-Shug. War Eagle!!! He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hilton and Sue Bentley; great grandparents, Johnnie and Ruby Proffitt; great grandmother, Conola Smith; uncle, and his hero Wayne Proffitt, Jr. He is survived by his parents, Kim Taylor (David), and Blake Bentley (Regina); sister, Brook Bentley Peavy (Jimmy); grandparents, Wayne Proffitt (Donna); step-brother, Drew Fincher; aunt, Charlotte Bentley; uncle, Earnest Bentley (Barbara); aunts, Teresa Moore (Doug), Naomi Blair (Eugene), Ginger Martin; uncle, Paul Taylor; very special cousins Kelly and Kathryn Proffitt, Taylor Arnett (Kydan) as well as numerous other cousins and other family members: and his faithful friend (dog), Shug- Shug. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Auburn United Methodist Church with Brother George Mathison officiating. Interment will follow at Auburn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the favorite Charity of your choice. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.
