Bessie R. Howard, age 88, was born on February 8, 1926 and died on June 2, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Howard; son, Phillip Howard; mother, Inez Clark; brother, Arthur Richards; and grandson, Tim Miller. Mrs. Howard is survived by her son, Bert Ward (Ramona) of Roanoke, Alabama; daughter, Shirley Miller (JW) of Valley, Alabama; daughter, Linda Miller (Harvey) of Valley, Alabama; daughter, Teressa Fewell of Quitman, Mississippi; son, Larry K. Howard, Sr. (Dale) of Camp Hill, Alabama; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Frederick- Dean Funeral Home, with Reverend Harvey Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Shady
