Obituary

William "Bill" Ott, Sr. of Opelika was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 6, 1962 and passed away at his home on September 17, 2017. He was 54 years old. He retired as Senior Chief Petty Officer from the United States Navy after 20 years of service in 2002. He was a troop leader for Boy Scouts of America (Troup 356 of the Chattahoochee Council). He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Angela Ott; children, Nicole Townsend, William Ott, Jr., Bradley Thornton and Steven Thornton; granddaughter, Valerie Townsend who was his pride and joy; parents, Carol (John) Miesiaczek and John Ott; sisters, Christina Miesiaczek-Hubbard and Claire Ott, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. Visitation will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Funeral service will be in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.
