Bobby Dale Chandler, 83 of Auburn, Alabama, died peacefully on May 19, 2023, at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.

He was born August 4, 1939, to Lillian Aileen Chandler Moss and Willie B Chandler. He was the 4th of 6 children. He joined the United State Air Force at 16, and proudly served his country for 4 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, 3 sisters and 1 brother.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Margaret Echols Chandler, their son, Bobby David Chandler and his wife, Anne Sternenberg Chandler. He was especially proud of his three grandchildren, Katie Chandler Sahlie (Will), Robert David Chandler and William Dale Chandler. He is also survived by 1 brother, Reggie Chandler, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home in Opelika, Alabama from 3:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday May 21, 2023, followed by a graveside service at Rosemere Cemetery in Opelika, Alabama on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm.
