Bobby Joe Harrelson, 75, of Opelika was born June 16, 1938 in Lee County to the late James Wilbur and Madge Berry Harrelson and passed away on May 24, 2014 at EAMC. He was self-employed as a machine technician for many years. Mr. Harrelson was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Margie Harrelson; his grandson, Charles Michael Yarbrough; his sister, Mary Spurlock; and his brother, Ronnie Harrelson. He is survived by his daughters, Bobi Yarbrough (Charles) and Tonya Yarbrough (Bill); grandchildren, Kimberly Yarbrough, CaSandra Griffin (Ben) and Travis Yarbrough; his great granddaughter, Maggie Yarbrough; and his sister, Sara Polk; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with interment following at the Little Texas Cemetery. A visitation will be in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 12:45 PM until 1:45 PM on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
