Bobby Lane Heath 1953-2021 Bobby Lane Heath (Pops), age 68, of Opelika passed away in his sleep on June 14, 2021. He was born June 9, 1953 in Mooresville, North Carolina and passed away in Columbus, Ohio while away for work. At a young age his family moved to Miami where he attended school and was very active in sports. After high school he attended Auburn University where he played football from 1972-1976. He worked as a commercial plumber most of his life then became a truck driver. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Heath; brother, Randy Heath; nephew, Gregory Moreno, and great niece, Grace Cole. He is survived by his daughter, Misty (Heath) Rayburn; mother of their daughter, Angie Heath; mother, Barbara (Conrad) Blair; sister, Gina (Manny) Moreno; two grandsons, Colten and Camden Dunson; niece, Crystal (Larry) Cole; great nephew, LJ. Bobby was one of a kind! He was a beloved father, son, brother, pops, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with family and watching his grandsons play ball. He will surely be missed - until we meet again - We love you! A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 313 North 5th Street in Opelika.
