Captain Ronald J. Kriel, USN (Retired)

1944 – 2023

Ronald J. Kriel of Auburn, AL passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on January 24, 2023. He was born on November 2, 1944 in Beloit, WI. He was 78 years old.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Lillian and James Kriel. .

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Theresa Jablecki-Kriel; children, Shelly Kriel, Brian (Amanda) Kriel, Lucy Kriel, and Chauntel Kriel; grandchildren, Alex, Grace, Harrison, Victoria, Andrew, Brandon, Christopher, and Virginia; and one great-grandson, Jeremiah.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wesley Memorial UMC Fellowship Hall on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Stacie Lee will be officiating. A meal will be provided at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wesley Memorial UMC.

Frederick-Dean Funeral Home will be handling all arrangements.
