Charles Wayne Daughtry

Charles Wayne Daughtry, 77, of Salem, AL, formally of Childersburg, passed away on, Thursday, August 31, 2023.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Diane Dubose Daughtry, sons Brandon Daughtry (Shannon) and Jeremy Daughtry (Natasha); five grandchildren: two granddaughters, Katie Daughtry and Makenna Daughtry, three grandsons, Barrett Daughtry, Kellan Daughtry and Declan Daughtry; two brothers, Vann Daughtry (Judy) and Carey Daughtry (Roxanne); brother-in-law Wayne Dubose (Glenda), and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jasper Jewell Daughtry and Lucille Owsley Daughtry, brother Jasper Daughtry, and parents-in-law Jasper Dubose and Lavonia McConnell Dubose.

Mr. Daughtry served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1967. He received a drafting degree from Opelika Technical College and an associate of science degree from Central Alabama Community College. He worked at the Coosa Pines Paper Mill for 26 years, where he retired in 2010.

Mr. Daughtry was laid to rest in a private service on Saturday, September 2nd.
