Obituary

Master Sergeant (Ret.) Chester E. Flournoy, 92, was born August 21, 1921 in Chambers County, Alabama and passed away on May 2, 2014. "Sarge" Flournoy was a US Air Force veteran with over 25 years of service to his country, including WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He and his wife, Geraldine, owned and operated the Beauregard Shooting Range for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents William T. and Emma Kelly Flournoy; and his sister, Margaret F. McCormick. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine M. Flournoy; six children, Iris (Jim) Smith of Tifton, GA, Steve (Teresa) Flournoy of Valley, AL, Shirley (Tim) Frost of Opelika, William E. Flournoy of Opelika, Allen (Karen) Flournoy of Opelika, and Norma Jean Van Wettering of Opelika; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and a special friend and cousin, Bob Todd.
