Christine R. Irvin of Waverly, Alabama was born on June 16, 1925 and passed away at her home on January 12, 2017. She was 91 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband's John Lauderdale, and Gervis Irvin; parents Bud and Dorenza Thornton Choron; son Al Irvin; 4 sisters, and 3 brothers. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Mezick (Roger), Dixie Hanson (Dave), Bubba Irvin (Jeanetta), and "special daughter" Jackie Hancock; grandchildren, Kenney Stephens, Kellie Stephens Wood, Heather Irvin Kent, Matthew Irvin M.D., Drew Irvin; 6 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10:00 until 12:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that Memorial donations be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church (Highway 49, Dadeville, Alabama). Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10:00 until 12:45 p.m.
