Corinne was born September 13, 1926, in Rochester, New York. She graduated from Nazareth Academy High School in Rochester, NY. In 1947 she married her husband Richard and moved with him to Germany where they lived for three and a half years. As Corinne wrote in a letter to Richard: "I'm going wherever you go, just a gypsy, and you don't have to worry any more about me not following you. I don't know what's going to happen to us, but I'm sticking right beside you". For 67 years she stayed right by his side. Returning to the USA with the first two of their seven children, they resided in turn for two years at Watertown Arsenal, MA, three years at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, six years in Huntsville, AL, and two years in Brunswick, GA before coming to Auburn in 1966.
Corinne will be remembered for doing her daily walks in her neighborhood or the mall. She was an avid bridge player and greatly enjoyed dancing, music, and visiting her children and relatives throughout the country. She was a long-time member of the Auburn Music Club, Campus Club, and Opelika Arts Association. In later years Corinne was active in the East Alabama Medical Auxiliary. Corinne was known as a "prayer warrior" and often went on nursing home visitations.
Preceding her in death was her husband Richard H. Sforzini, her sister Ruth Favasuli of Rochester, NY, her eldest son Richard Sforzini, Jr. and daughter Deborah Ann Pugh. Survivors include her sister, Shirley Tucker, of Jacksonville, FL, and four sons Dr. Michael J.
