Dallas M. McLendon, age 83of Opelika, was born in Wedowee, Alabama on August 14, 1928 and passed away at her home on August 4, 2011. She was a member of Shady Grove Christian Church. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Van McLendon; two sisters, Estelle Hart and Melvaline Whittington; three brothers, X.E. Mitchell, Dossie Mitchell, and Reo Mitchell; special nephew, Wayne Mitchell and his family Bradley and Ray; special nieces, Debra, Kimberly and Jean; special caregivers, Carolyn Hart, Yolanda Frazier, Alisa Samuels, and Hospice Advantage Nurse Darlene Smith; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
