Daniel James May

September 2, 1980 - February 3, 2024

Daniel James May, a beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away on February 3, 2024 in his hometown of Auburn, Alabama. Born to Sandra May Evans on September 2, 1980 in Opelika, AL, Daniel's life was full of passion, kindness, and youthful exuberance.

Daniel received his GED, was an avid reader, loved his pets, and was a Star Wars fan. Daniel's quick wit, kind heart, and adventurous spirit touched everyone he met.

Daniel is survived and deeply missed by his loving mother, Sandra Evans; his grandmother, Arlene N. May; and a close-knit family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Daniel Hart May.

A memorial service to celebrate Daniel's life will be held from 2 until 4 pm CT on Friday, February 9, 2024 at the home of Arlene May located at 4198 County Rd. 43 N Auburn, AL 36830. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to a mental health facility of your choosing.

Daniel's legacy of kindness, laughter, and love for life will continue to inspire all who knew him. As we bid farewell to this remarkable young man, let us carry forward the light he brought into our lives.
