David "Buckshot" Haywood was born to the late Eleree and Bessie Faye Haywood on December 2, 1927 and passed away at EAMC on October 25, 2016. He was 88 years old. In his younger years, Mr. Haywood owned a small TV/radio repair shop. He also worked as a mechanic and was great at repairing things. The GREATEST achievement of Mr. Haywood was when he gave his life to Jesus Christ, in whose arms he now rests, having run his race and receiving the rest and love he so deserved. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. This is not goodbye, but UNTIL Mr. Haywood was not married and had no children of his own. However, all his 19 nieces and nephews, as well as an enumerable number of their children, ALL considered Mr. Haywood to be their daddy or a secondary daddy to them. Mr. Haywood was blessed with many friends, as he always showed himself to be a friend to others, always willing to help anyone he could. He is a man that will never be forgotten by any family member or friend because of the love that his heart showed to all. Visitation will be held at The Gathering Place on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 28, 2016 at The Gathering Place at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Marshall Dye and Reverend Ernest ONeail officiating. Interment will follow at Holt Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held at The Gathering Place on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m.
